I love stories. I love people!

My childhood’s best friends were books.

I’m not even kidding.

From my earliest memory, my mom would read me bed time stories. I would do everything to stay awake to know what happened at the end of the story. Until one day, I found out I could read the books by myself and my silent reading speed was much quicker than my mom’s speed. I didn’t need her to read me bed time stories anymore. I read them by myself.

I was around grade one or two back then. Chinese characters were not that easy for little kid like I was, so I had to flip through the dictionary to know what the words meant.

I finished almost every book at the children’s session at the library around my neighborhood.

Every single book leads me to a brand new adventure to broaden my view. I would imagine myself as the protagonist in the story and experience what he or she experiences. I love stories.

As growing up, I found out books are the stories from the authors’ lives or thoughts.

They filtered the stories for me. However, I want to know more!

You know there are always some geniuses in your classes. You wonder if they are nerds digging books everyday after classes.

Or that guy 3 doors next to you could barely graduate from university three years ago, but now he’s driving an Mercede’s racing car. You wonder if he won the lottery or something.

Or that computer engineer friend of yours. Perhaps you’ve only imagine he drinks beers at the bar and talk about computer coding. Maybe he was a pianist in a concert, but quit for he finds greater value in doing computer coding.

Even the vagrants on the way to your work you complained about and wondered if they were educated. In fact, some might be lawyers or doctors, but left their original life style to step on the path of searching who they really are.

People have stories.

I love stories.

So, I love talking to people to know their stories.

Stories they want to share, of course.

This blog will have two things.

1. Stories about others. Or interview with people I found interesting.

2. Stories from me. You will see   🙂

Wish you enjoy every single post as much as I do in writing them!
